According to the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine, the rector and vice-rector of a private university have been detained. It turned out that they admitted evasive students to their own and foreign universities without taking entrance exams. The extras promised such “students” unhindered processing of the postponement. For this purpose, the leadership of Transcarpathian University involved an official of the military service of law and order in illegal activities.
Depending on the circumstances, the participants estimated the package of such “services” at approximately EUR 1,500 per person.
After the SBU’s disclosure, the local commission of the Uzhhorod RTCC and SP canceled the previously granted deferments from the draft to 225 evaders who took advantage of the “student scheme”.
