On Wednesday, December 17, the territory of Ukraine will be under the influence of a field of high atmospheric pressure, which will ensure calm and mostly dry weather. In most regions, the air temperature will remain relatively warm, although at night, small frosts are possible in some places.
This was announced by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center on Facebook.
Forecasters warn of dense fog in the night and morning hours in the northern regions, as well as in the Cherkasy, Poltava and Kharkiv regions. Visibility in these areas, in particular in the Kyiv region, can decrease to 200–500 meters, which should be taken into account by drivers when planning trips. The wind will mainly be southerly at a speed of 5–10 m/s, it will be somewhat weaker in the capital.
Temperature indicators during the day are distributed as follows. At night, temperatures from 3°C to 2°C are expected throughout the country. During the day, the air will warm up to 2–7°C, but it will be much warmer in Zakarpattia, Prykarpattia and the extreme south of the country — from 6° to 11° above zero. The coolest weather will remain on the Left Bank, where the daytime maximum will not exceed 0–5°C.
In Kyiv and the region tomorrow it will be cloudy with clearings and no precipitation. In the capital, the night temperature will hover around the 0° mark, and during the day, thermometers will rise to 3–5° of heat. In general, the anticyclonic nature of the weather will contribute to the absence of significant precipitation throughout the territory of Ukraine during Wednesday.
This week in Ukraine will start with relatively warm weather. Snowfall is possible in the first half of the week, but further warming is predicted in the second half.
