According to him, together with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umyerov and People’s Deputy David Arakhamia, he will hold a series of meetings in Washington.
“A joint meeting with Steven Witkoff, Jared Kushner and Daniel Driscoll is scheduled. Ukraine needs a just peace. We are working on the result,” Budanov wrote.
Earlier, Ukraine held consultations with European and American partners regarding the implementation of the peace plan. At the end of December, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Florida and met with US President Donald Trump.
The day before, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the statement of the US President Donald Trump on the end of the war in Ukraine, stated that it is Russia that is postponing the signing of the peace agreement.
Former US President Donald Trump stated that any peace plan of Ukraine with Russia needs his approval. He also expressed hope for a productive meeting with Ukrainian and Russian leaders in the coming days.
Also, Zelensky and Trump will be held joint conversation with EU leaders.
