The Dnipropetrovsk District Administrative Court refused the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine to postpone the decision on the transfer of the Church of St. Nicholas to the religious community.

It is reported press service of the parish.

The court also established control over the implementation of this decision, requiring the Ministry to provide a report on its implementation.

This decision returns the issue of the transfer of the church, which was approved back in 2005, to the public sphere after a thirty-year wait, because it has not yet been completed.

The rector of the parish Fr. Pavlo Vyshkovsky expressed concern about political interests that could block the implementation of the court’s decision. He emphasized the need to uphold the law and put an end to abuses related to the shrine.

Thus, the conflict surrounding the Church of St. Nicholas, which is constantly becoming the center of religious and political quarrels, continues to raise questions about the justice and legality of the actions of the Ukrainian government in relation to religious buildings.
