The Tax Committee of the Council approved the abolition of “retroactive” taxes for FOP

The Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the cancellation of tax increases “retroactively” for the FOP in 2024. Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, stated this in Telegram.

“Now the committee has postponed the introduction of taxation for FOPs from October 1 to January 1, 2025. That is, they fully defended to remove the “back date” from the law,” Zheleznyak wrote.

At the same time, this norm will not apply to banking institutions.

Earlier it was reported that at the meeting of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada, it will be proposed to cancel the “retroactive” taxation for private enterprises in the adopted tax bill No. 11416-d.

It was previously reported that in the nine months of 2024, the State Tax Service of Ukraine conducted 5,483 documentary checks of individual entrepreneurs (PSOs), which is 26% less than in the same period last year.

In total, in 2024, the State Tax Service conducted 16,119 camera inspections of FOPs working with excise goods. As a result, fines of UAH 9.5 million were assessed, and according to actual checks, fines of UAH 132.2 million were issued.
