The suspect in Farion’s murder was remanded in custody

The court extended the pretrial detention of the suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion. This is reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office. At the request of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the Halytskyi District Court of the city of Lviv extended the preventive measure for the suspect in the intentional murder of Iryna Farion. He will remain in custody without bail for another 60 days – until January 12, 2025 inclusive.

The boy was detained in Dnipro at his place of residence in July this year and has been in custody since then.

Previously, the Halytskyi court in Lviv left unchanged the preventive measure for Vyacheslav Zinchenko, who is suspected of murdering Iryna Farion – detention without bail for 60 days until November 17, 2024 inclusive.

During the September 19 hearing at the Halytsky District Court of Lviv, the 18-year-old suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion, Vyacheslav Zinchenko, asked not to release him, because he believes that he will be in danger there.
