The cost of medical examinations from the state for Ukrainians over the age of 40 will be 2,000 hryvnias, which will be paid by the state.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health Maria Karchevych during a webinar of the Ministry of Health, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“It will be free. It is expected that at least 5 million people will be able to go through such a program next year. In total, there are about 19 million people aged 40 and over in Ukraine,” Karchevych said.
She noted that the cost of the screening will be UAH 2,000, which will be paid by the state for medical services provided under the program.
Karchevych explained that the patient will independently choose the institution where he can undergo screening. She added that the National Health Service of Ukraine will monitor the entry of information about the performed screening into the electronic health care system.
It was previously reported that starting in 2026, every Ukrainian over the age of 40 will be able to pass free of charge once a year physical examination .
