Warm weather at the beginning of winter prevented the timely opening of slopes and lifts. However, on the eve of the New Year holidays, some resorts are gradually resuming their work.
The publication “Glavkom” found out which locations are already accepting vacationers, and which are just preparing for opening.
“Bukovel”
The Bukovel ski resort was one of the first to resume its work. So the resort administration announced the official opening on December 28. This became possible thanks to the favorable weather, the region fell asleep.

In Bukovel, slopes 2C, 5A, 5B and 12B, transitions B and D, as well as slopes 2, 5 and 12 are currently available. In addition, “Bukovel” plans to open an ice rink on January 2.
Plai Resort
The ski resort “Plai” in the Lviv region has opened the winter season. The official opening took place on December 27, the administration of the resort informed Glavkom. But at the moment there is only one track 1A operating in “Ply”. The resort also has two cable cars, as well as an educational and children’s area.
According to the administration of the resort, other tracks and the tubing park will be operational later, preparatory work is being carried out there. You can find out about the opening of another part of the resort on the “Playu” website.
Pylypets ski resort
There is a 1,650-meter-high lift on the territory of “Pyliptsi”, but currently the resort does not have snow cover on all major tracks. The administration of the resort reported that on December 31, the opening of the 400-meter lift, where there is snow, is possible. They are still working on it. So, as soon as a sufficient amount of snow falls, Pylypets will open the ski season.
According to the administration, the resort still depends on natural snow. Therefore, now the lifts in “Pylipets” work as tourist lifts. Therefore, vacationers can climb it to see incredible views of Borzhava and walk through the recreation area.
Ski resort “Zakhar Berkut”
Resort “Zakhar Berkut” is located in the heart of the Carpathians. According to the administration, they have not yet opened the ski season. But there is a chair lift on the territory of the resort, the administration will announce its operation later.
As for the forecast for the opening of the ski season, the operation of the resort depends only on natural conditions. If there is an adequate level of snow, then it will be possible to prepare the tracks.
Resort “Dragobrat”
The administration of the resort “Dragobrat” informed “Glavkom” that they have not yet opened the ski season. The main reason for the delay in the opening of the season is the lack of snow. According to the administration, there are no snow cannons on “Dragobrat”. Therefore, the tracks cannot be snowed artificially. Because of this, the resort is waiting for snow, the ski season depends only on weather conditions. However, for now, tourists can use the “Carpathian Seagull” lift. However, it is only available when there is light.
The ski season has opened in Kyiv.
The ski complex “Protasiv Yar” in Kyiv is already operational. You can come to the complex with your skis and snowboard or take everything you need on site and go for a ride. You can also visit the complex on December 31 and January 1, 2026.
The Golosyiv Ski Park complex was also opened in Kyiv.
