The security service detained another agent of the Russian Federation in the Donetsk region. The perpetrator handed over the locations of the Defense Forces to the Russians and waited for the occupation of Kramatorsk.
According to the case file, the suspect was a local pensioner, a former employee of the disbanded militia. She worked for the enemy through a “connector”, her old acquaintance, who was also an ex-militician.
In 2014, he joined the DPR terrorists, and after the start of a full-scale war, he became a combatant in one of the reconnaissance and assault brigades of the Russian Armed Forces.
According to the instructions of the Russians, the agent leaked the location of fortified areas and firing positions of the Ukrainian troops in the Kramatorsk direction to the “liaison”.
First of all, the enemy was interested in the coordinates of the rocket artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the routes of the fuel tankers that were supplied to the front line.
In order to gather intelligence, the perpetrator drove around the area in her car and secretly recorded military objects.
The counterintelligence officers of the Security Service exposed the traitor in time, established her location and arrested her.
Investigators of the SBU informed the accused about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law).
The perpetrator is in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Complex measures were carried out by SBU employees in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office.
