The SBU exposed the FSB high -ranking agent, who worked at the State Space Agency of Ukraine. The spy was detained during a meeting.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), with the assistance of the Minister for Strategic Industry, exposed another Russian spy that worked in the state bodies of Ukraine. The hostile agent was the official of the State Space Agency of Ukraine, who had access to secret information, including satellite images and data on the country’s strategic enterprises.
The counterintelligence and investigators of the SBU detained the person involved during a meeting at the Ministry of Strategic Industry of Ukraine, where he discussed issues concerning important defense technologies.
According to the case file, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) recruited this agent in 2024. Since then, the Ukrainian intelligence service has gradually documented the actions of the attacker and his interaction with Russian curators.
In addition to gathering strategic information, he also conveyed the enemy favorable data for Ukraine, using his position for misinformation of the enemy.
According to the investigation, the agent agreed to cooperate with the FSB through his wife, who lives in Rostov-on-Don and cooperates with the occupiers. In exchange for money and the safety promise after retirement in 2025, he agreed to carry out harmful activities to the state.
The tasks set by the FSB in front of the agent included collecting information on the location of the facilities of the military-industrial complex, the navigation system, as well as satellite images. The data collected should be used for air strikes on important strategic objects of Ukraine.
The detainee searched a mobile phone with anonymous chats and e -mail, which he used to communicate with the FSB.
On the basis of the evidence collected, investigators of the SBU reported the agent of suspicion under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (State betrayal in martial law). The issue of choosing a pre -trial detention is resolved. The attacker is threatened with life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
It should be reminded that the Security Service of Ukraine detained the GRU agents who planned to disconnect the northern regions of Ukraine.
