The Security Service of Ukraine exposed two rector of the UOC temples (MP), who publicly praised Russian President Vladimir Putin, called for the capture of the territory of Ukraine and spread anti -Semitic statements.
As it became known, the clerics of both temples located in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions actively promoted the Kremlin’s enemy policy, communicating with parishioners and through their accounts on social networks and messengers.
One of the persons involved, Archpriest from Zhytomyr region, has repeatedly expressed support for Russia’s politics, degrading the dignity of the Jewish people in their publications. The second suspect, a hieromonk from Vinnytsia region, called for the capture of Kiev and other regions of Ukraine, leaving such comments under pro -Kremliv posts in messengers.
The expertise conducted by the SBU confirmed the facts of criminal activity aimed at destabilizing the situation in Ukraine in favor of Russia. During the searches, clerics were removed with mobile phones and computer equipment with evidence of their illegal activity.
The SBU informed both suspects of suspected three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, in particular for encroachment on the territorial integrity and integrity of Ukraine, violation of equality of citizens on the basis of race or nationality, as well as justifying the aggression of Russia.
