Military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a 17-year-old Russian agent who gathered information on the location of defense forces in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
She reported SBU.
The person was a resident of Lozova, Kharkiv region, recruited by the Russians through telegrams. The hostile special services involved the teenager into criminal activity in exchange for the promise of “light money”.
To accomplish a hostile task, the young man traveled by buses in the eastern regions and recorded military facilities on the phone camera.
The young man also used a “legend” to find the nearest post office when he explored the terrain.
After returning home, the guy summarized the collected data and prepared a report to the Russian curator.
According to the SBU, the Russians planned to use the information obtained to prepare new strikes in the regions. The SBU’s military counterintelligences exposed the person involved, documented his crimes and detained his place of residence. In addition, the SBU has taken complex measures to protect the locations of defense forces.
Based on the evidence collected, the SBU investigators informed the person being suspected. The guy is in custody, he threatens up to 12 years in prison.
It should be reminded that the counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine disrupted an attempt at the terrorist attack, which was organized by Russia’s special services in Kiev.
The staff of the 13th Main Directorate of the SBU Military Counterintelligence Department carried out a complex combined attack using both marine and air drones.
We have already reported that the Security Service of Ukraine detained four pro -Kremlin agents who operated in different regions of Ukraine.
