Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on Tuesday, April 22, declared suspicion of 14 “high -ranking officials” of the Russian Orthodox Church, which contributed to the capture of Ukrainian churches in temporarily occupied territories.

This was reported in Telegram SBU.

As noted in the department, during 2022-2024 they entered in accordance with the Kremlin -controlled Holy Synod »ROC. In particular, It is about:

  • Michael Kondratiev (Methodius) – Bishop of Kamyansky and Kamyshilovsky;
  • Vitaliy Yermakova (Ambrose) – Metropolitan of Tver and Kashinsky;
  • Leonid Gorbachev – Patriarchal Exarch of Africa;
  • Andriy Malakhanov – Archbishop of Petropavlovsky and Kamchatsky;
  • Peter Mansurov (Peter) – Bishop of Kalachinsky and Muromtsevsky;
  • Nikolai Kerpitsky (Leo) – Metropolitan of Novgorod and Old Russian;
  • Yuri Epifanov (Arsenia) – Metropolitan of Lipetsky and Zadonsky;
  • Michael in the Ultimate (Cyril) – Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan;
  • Alexei Kryvenko (Nicholas)-Bishop of North Baykal and Sosnovo-Osersky;
  • Valery Golubev (Elijah) – Archbishop of Anadyrsky and Chukotsky;
  • Yana Kaygorodseva (Hilarion) – Bishop of Kinezha and Palekhsky;
  • Elijah Perov (Tarasia) – Bishop of North Sea and Umba;

The SBU added that all 14 defendants were informed about suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 5 tbsp. 27, Part 3 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Agency in committing deliberate actions in order to change the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine, to violate the order established by the Constitution of Ukraine, by prior conspiracy by a group of persons who led to other grave consequences).

Measures are currently underway to bring a group of people to justice.
