The Russian agent got a job in the defense plant in Kirovograd region to spy for the FSB. He was detained, the court had already declared a sentence – 15 years in prison for the State Council.
According to counterintelligence and investigators of the SBU, the aggressor’s associate was “integrated” to the defense company of the region for collecting intelligence inside the object. Among the main tasks of “Circle” was to obtain information about the number and types of military equipment of the Armed Forces, which is undergoing repair and modernization at the technological capacity of the enterprise.
To do this, the agent settled for the post of plant. After documenting his crimes, the Security Service detained the agent on hot, when he photographed the secret documents of the defense company.
According to the investigation, a traitor was a local resident who was in view of the FSB before the start of a full -scale war as a supporter of Rashism. After February 24, 2022, the man was recruited by the FSB personnel employee.
On the basis of the evidence collected by the SBU, the court found the agent guilty of two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
▪️ Part 2 of Art. 111 (treason committed in martial law);
▪️ Part 1 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition legitimate, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
