As the investigation established, from the very beginning of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, as early as 2014, he promoted Russian narratives through interviews in mass media, public speeches, as well as in posts on his own website and in social networks. The deputy tried to create anti-government and pro-Russian sentiments in Ukrainian society, justify Russian aggression, etc.
The pro-Russian deputy carried out the instructions of the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill (Gundyaev), for a long time he maintained close communication with him and was in his hierarchical subordinate, that is, he was the so-called “curator” from the Russian Orthodox Church and, in fact, the representative of a religious organization of a foreign state in Ukraine.
At the same time, the people’s elected representative, acting in support of the foreign policy of the aggressor country, systematically made public speeches with signs of religious intolerance and enmity.
After the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine, he resigned and is currently hiding abroad. However, it continues to exercise information influence aimed at harming the sovereignty of Ukraine, its state and information security, the achievement of military and political goals by the leadership of the Russian Federation in relation to the state of Ukraine, and providing assistance to the Russian Federation in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine in the information sphere.
