The State Bureau of Investigation detained the former commander of the 155th separate mechanized brigade named after Anna Kyivska. This was announced by the SBI on Monday, January 20.

According to NV sources, it is about Dmytro Ryumshin.

As noted in the SBI, the ex-commander of the 155th OMBr did not respond to the violations in his unit, in particular, to the voluntary abandonment of the military unit by his soldiers. In addition, he deliberately did not perform other official duties.

As stated in the message, during 2024, the commander did not inform the bodies of pre-trial investigation about servicemen who committed criminal offenses.

The law enforcement officers also established that during 2024 the commander had information about the SZCH in the brigade. The command staff of the military unit reported to him about this, in particular, he wrote reports and reports about the facts of the commission of criminal offenses by subordinate soldiers.

The Security Service of Ukraine reported that information regarding possible corruption in the brigade during the selection of military personnel for training abroad is currently being checked. In addition, information is being checked that servicemen were able to evade their duties for bribes.

As noted in the SBU, a notice of suspicion is being prepared for the ex-commander of the brigade under part. 4 Art. 426 of the Civil Code (inaction of the military authorities committed under martial law).

Earlier on January 20, journalist and editor-in-chief of Censor.NET Yuriy Butusov stated that, according to his information, the former commander of the 155th OMBr Anna Kyivska, Colonel Dmytro Ryumshin, was detained in Chernivtsi.

In January 2025, it became known about problems in the 155 brigade, which was formed and trained in France. Butusov stated about the mass cases of SZCH in the brigade, the lack of command, the necessary weapons, etc.

On January 5, Butusov reported that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi took the situation around the 155th OMBr Anna Kyivska under personal control during the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander.
