The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office appealed to the High Anti-Corruption Court with a request for the arrest of Oleksiy Chernyshov, former Deputy Prime Minister, ex-minister and ex-head of Naftogaz.

The prosecution insists on taking him into custody, arguing that the suspect can influence the investigation: destroy or hide evidence, put pressure on witnesses or leave the territory of Ukraine.

As an alternative preventive measure, the prosecutors offer bail in the amount of UAH 55 million.

As of 18:00, the court continues consideration of the petition.

It will be recalled that Mindych discussed the construction of estates of ex-Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshov in Kozyna on “films”.

Chernyshov is also trying to save his property from confiscation through a lawsuit with his wife.

The anti-corruption court left the family of former Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshov without cash.
