In Ukraine, a new interceptor drone “Salyut” was presented, developed on the basis of real combat experience and with already confirmed use at the front.

“Salyut” is positioned as a system of active countermeasures against enemy small- and medium-class UAVs, in particular Shahed, “Gerbera”, “Lancet” and ZALA. The interceptor is designed to protect critical, civil and military infrastructure in conditions of limited response time.
According to the development company, the drone has an increased interception speed, an optimized power supply system, sine.link integration, as well as design solutions for safe operation in combat conditions. The manufacturer also claims stable serial supply.
During the design, real application scenarios, typical threats, speed of air targets, conditions of detection and defeat, as well as requirements for simplicity and reliability of work at the front were taken into account.
The maximum speed of “Salyut” reaches 320 km/h, the cruising speed is 180–200 km/h. The drone is equipped with a twilight analog or thermal imaging video camera and can be equipped with an automatic capture and targeting system. The cruise flight time is up to 20 minutes, the maximum altitude is up to 6 km, the combat radius of use is up to 20 km.
The company notes that it took less than two months to go from the idea to the first hitting the target. After a month of development, the team went directly to the combat zone to demonstrate the drone to air defense units, taking with them 3D printers, tools and desktop computers.
According to the developers, in a week of work in rented housing near the front, the interceptor was almost completely redesigned in accordance with the requests of the military. Since then, all improvement proposals are finalized in up to two weeks, and the simplest changes are integrated within a few days.
Among the first confirmed targets of “Salyut” were “Gerbers”, later – ZALA and “Shakhed” drones. The manufacturer also released a video showing a pilot of the Magura 47th Brigade Sky Wars unit shooting down a Shahed using this interceptor.
Currently, the “Salyut” drone is already presented on the Brave1 marketplace in a closed catalog with access through registration in the DELTA system.
