On the night of Saturday, October 19, the troops of the aggressor country Russia struck Ukraine with guided air missiles (KAR), shaheds and drones of an unspecified type. Air defense of Ukraine shot down 42 UAVs and four missiles, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports.
According to the military, the occupiers used up to 98 UAVs and six KAR Kh-59/69 to attack more than 100 targets. 46 Russian drones are currently lost in location, information about the downing or fall of the UAV is being clarified.
Air defense forces worked in Odesa, Sumy, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Poltava, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
Several Russian drones remain in the airspace of Ukraine, combat work continues, the Air Force added.
Russian troops have been attacking Ukraine with drones and missiles since night. In Kyiv, a woman was injured as a result of a UAV attack. The Russians also attacked Odesa with rockets, fires broke out in houses.
In the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, energy facilities were damaged as a result of the strikes, and emergency power outages were introduced, Ukrenergo reported.
