Russian troops advanced near six settlements in the Donetsk region on Saturday, January 18, DeepState analysts reported.
As noted in the summary of the analytical project, the Russians advanced in Kotlyny, Udachny, near Novoandriivka, Suhy Yali, Vremivka, and Velika Novosilka.
What is known about the situation at the front in the Donetsk region
On January 1, DeepState wrote about the chaotic tactical situation in Novovasylivka near Pokrovsk, where the enemy is present in virtually every corner of the village, as well as the Defense Forces.

January 8 Institute for the study of war (ISW) wrote that Russian troops recently advanced in the northwestern part of the city of Toretsk and reached the administrative border of the city in one of the districts after several weeks of more intensive offensive operations by Russia in the area.
On January 11, DeepState announced that Russian troops had fully occupied the city of Kurakhove. At the same time, Viktor Tregubov, a representative of the Khortytsya Military District, noted that the Ukrainian military is holding positions within Kurakhovo, so it is too early to talk about the complete capture of the city by the Russian occupiers.
