The court sentenced a 51-year-old resident of Kostyantynivka, who worked for the Russian special services and helped the enemy prepare an offensive on Chasiv Yar. The traitor, detained by SBU officers in November 2024, was found guilty of treason under martial law. In addition to a 15-year prison term, the sentence provides for the full confiscation of the defendant’s property.

The investigation established that the woman came to the attention of the occupiers because of her activity in pro-Russian Telegram channels, where she left anti-Ukrainian comments. Having received a task from the Russian intelligence agency, she went around the front-line area of the Kramatorsk district, fixing the coordinates of the fortified areas and firing positions of the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russia used the intelligence gathered by it to plan assault operations and adjust shelling in the direction of the strategically important city of Chasiv Yar.
SBU counter-intelligence documented all the facts of criminal activity of the suspect and detained her in her own apartment. During the search, a mobile phone with evidence of correspondence with curators from the Russian Federation was seized from the convict. The court verdict confirmed the seriousness of the crime committed under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which demonstrates the inevitability of punishment for those who knowingly work for an aggressor against their own state.
Earlier, in Ternopil and Cherkasy, three car arsonists who were acting on the orders of the Russian Federation were detained. They were looking for easy money on social networks, and their targets were cars undergoing maintenance after completing combat missions on the front lines.
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police detained a man in Transcarpathia who, acting on the order of the Russian special services, set fire to the vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Red Cross Society.
