Eight employees of the Kiev pre -trial detention center and five prisoners have been informed about suspicions of the death of the prisoner. He was beaten to death.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the investigation found that in December 2024 the so -called “watch” for the pre -trial detention center, along with the accomplices during the conflict, numerous bodily injuries that led to his death were inflicted in the conflict.
The employees of the detention center, knowing about beating and understanding the violations made on their part, tried to hide it. They forged documents on the actual state of the victim’s health and the need to place him in the punishment due to the alleged violation of the regime.
Failure to provide proper medical care has led to a critical deterioration of health. Only the next day the victim was taken to the hospital where he died.
It is now reported suspicion to 8 officials of the Kyiv Detention Center, including inspectors, regular, medical workers and senior corps. They were charged with excess of official powers, service negligence, abandonment, failure to provide assistance, official forgery and forgery of an official document (Part 3 of Article 365, Part 3 of Article 367, Part 3 of Article 135, Part 2 of Article 139, Part 1 of the Criminal Code.
It was also reported to be suspected to be 5 prisoners, including “watch”, after the cause of grievous bodily harm that caused death (Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The issue of choosing a suspect is currently resolved.
