On July 24, Babenkov purchased a non -residential area of 138.2 square meters. m. in Lutsk, while still as Deputy Head of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
For what purposes he would serve as a new premises, he did not report, but the press service of the prosecutor’s office did not provide contact with the law enforcement officer, arguing that he was released on September 16. Babenkov will probably receive a new position in the prosecutor’s office during the month.
“He remained in the prosecutor’s office, but he does not work with us,” the press service of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor’s Office said, without revealing the specific reason for the dismissal.
At the same time, Babenkov was allowed in the summer Before the competition for the post of judge of the local court, however, on September 9, the candidate failed to test for cognitive abilities.
Oleksandr Babenkov has been operating in the prosecutor’s office since 2005, and before this he served for several years in the internal affairs bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Zhytomyr region and worked in various positions in the bodies of the Prosecutor’s Office of Zhytomyr, Volyn regions and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
Babenkov has been the deputy head of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor’s Office since 2020, and before that he headed the Kovel local prosecutor’s office and the Volodymyr-Volyn local prosecutor’s office.
His wife, Olena Babenkova, has been working in the National Police since 2019, and now as the senior operative of the Volyn Department of Internal Security.
A few months before the purchase of non -residential premises, Babenkov received UAH 7.47 million in revenue from real estate sales.
According to the declaration of the prosecutor for 2024, the Babenkov couple, together with two children, lived in a rented apartment of 87.1 square meters. m in the village of Zmiinenets, Volyn region, and the property of the family had three land plots with a total area of 34.2 acres in Volyn and Zhytomyr region.
Two of them accounted for two unfinished houses with a total area of 358.2 square meters. m, and probably on the sale of one of the homes of Babenkov and earned the above mentioned 7.47 million UAH.
In addition, last year the prosecutor’s wife became the owner of the renewable energy equipment worth 680 thousand UAH and KIA EV6 car, 2023, at the price of UAH 746 thousand.
In the 2024, the prosecutor received UAH 1.66 million in salary, UAH 169.3 thousand pension and UAH 668.5 thousand from real estate sales.
Last year, Babenkov received for the first time, probably for years of service.
The profit of Elena’s wife in the amount amounted to UAH 5.85 million, of which, in particular, UAH 2.34 million – income from the sale of housing and car, another UAH 2.3 million – a monetary gift from Vladimir and Maria Durkevich (probably parents). The son of Vladislav also earned for the sale of the next real estate 668.5 thousand UAH.
Babenkov’s savings consisted of 198 thousand UAH in bank accounts and $ 58 thousand and 19.5 thousand euros in cash.
