Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko commented on the case regarding the suspicion of Andrii Bilous, the former head of the Young Theater and a teacher at the Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University.
It is about abuse of power, sexual harassment and violence against female students of this educational institution.
At the beginning of the year, one of the students openly spoke about the teacher’s unacceptable actions, which caused a wide public outcry and raised the issue of impunity in the academic environment.
Later, other students joined her testimony, revealing the extent of the violations. According to the investigation, Bilous sexually assaulted five girls from March 2018 to April 2023.
One of the accusations also refers to him sending intimate photos of other female students and demanding similar photos from new victims, which shows the seriousness of the case.
The educational institution has not received official statements about these cases, but has already turned to the police to investigate the situation.
