He is charged with violation of ch. 2 and h. 3 Art. 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — justification and denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
According to the investigation, during his speeches Dmytro Korniychuk spread pro-Russian narratives, justifying the military aggression of the Russian Federation. He called the Russian invasion a “special military operation” and claimed that Russia’s actions had a basis.
The prosecutor’s office notes that the indictment against Korniychuk for other episodes has already been submitted to the Kyiv-Sviatoshyn District Court. Currently, the issue of selecting a preventive measure is being resolved.
