President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Major General Michael Drapatyi received a new appointment-he will head the operational-strategic group of troops (Osv) “Khortytsa” in Donetsk region. At the same time, he will remain in the post of commander of the Land Forces.
Zelensky stated this in his evening address.
“Today he instructed to strengthen the command staff of our troops in Donetsk region. Major-General Michael Drapaty will control the Khortytsa’s vomit-this is one of the most difficult areas of fighting, “the President said.
At the same time, Zelensky emphasized that Dropaty will continue to perform the duties of the commander of the Land Forces – the most numerous component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“This will effectively combine combat work on the front with the proper preparation of crews. It is the needs of the front that should determine the standards of equipment and training of our troops, ”the Head of State added.
