The police reported that the mother of a 12-year-old girl contacted them, reporting the beating.
The law enforcement officers established that the injuries were caused by three minors: a girl the same age as the victim, as well as 15-year-old and 16-year-old boys.
The police started a pre-trial investigation for 1 Art. 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional slight bodily injury. After completing the investigative actions, the police officers will provide a legal assessment of the actions of each of the participants in the conflict.
“We call on parents to monitor their children’s behavior; emphasize the importance of compliance with legal and moral norms. The Juvenile Police of Ukraine emphasizes the inadmissibility of violence and calls for peaceful resolution of conflicts,” the law enforcement officers said in a statement.
