Shabunin perceives this as a politically motivated decision.
“At previous courts, I said this from publicly available arguments. During this time, I got acquainted with almost all the materials of the proceedings and now I can speak based on these materials. The accusation suspects me that I did not perform my functions in the NAKC and thus evaded service. This is completely different from what was spread in the media, in particular, about the theft of a car, according to the party’s submission,” — Shabunin said.
