It was the Swedish parliamentarian Karina Edebrink, which is already actively working on this important area.
Karina Edebrink is deeply involved in this topic, because earlier she performed the duties of a special speaker of the Parliamentary Support Group of Ukraine in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
In July 2024, she published a detailed report called “Theft and Deportation of Ukrainian Children by Russia”, which insisted on strengthening international cooperation and supporting initiatives, such as an international coalition for the return of Ukrainian children and the presidential initiative of Bring Kids Back UA.
