In the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, the Russian occupation authorities introduced a new stage of mobilization of men, disguising it as an entry into the reserve of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

About this in Telegram Oleksiy Kharchenko, head of the Luhansk OVA, reports.

According to the report, men in the so-called “LPR” are required to undergo “special meetings” lasting two months, while the occupiers claim that they will be recruited exclusively for the protection of infrastructure facilities and operations in the rear.

This new mobilization is part of a continuation of the forced conscriptions that have become known as part of the so-called “autumn conscription”.

According to the official, reprisals may be threatened for failure to attend meetings, which indicates the seriousness of the situation in which men found themselves in the occupied territories. Mobilization costs, as well as subsequent actions of the Russian leadership, cause concern among the local population.
