Since the beginning of the day on October 16, 112 combat clashes have been recorded at the front, while the enemy is actively advancing in the Kupyan, Lyman and Kurakhiv directions in the Donetsk region.
This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
The enemy carried out one missile strike, using one missile, 49 air strikes, dropping 50 guided air bombs (KAB), and also launched 655 kamikaze drones. More than 3,500 times, the enemy fired at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements, using various types of weapons.
On Kharkivskyi direction, the occupiers launched four attacks near Staritsa, but all of them were successfully repelled by units of the Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, since the beginning of the day, the enemy lost 65 soldiers killed and wounded, 16 drones, four units of special equipment and a car were destroyed. Two combat vehicles, five cars and a unit of special equipment were also damaged.
On Kupiansky direction, 18 enemy attacks were recorded in the districts of Kucherivka, Pischany, Stepova Novoselivka, Lozova and Vyshnevo, nine of them are still ongoing.
On Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked 17 times, trying to advance near Grekivka, Nevsky, Terni and Torsky, but 13 attacks were repulsed, and the fighting continues.
On Kramatorsk direction, there were three clashes in the area of Stupochki, but all enemy attacks were repulsed.
During the day, the enemy attacked the positions near Toretsk, but was unsuccessful.
On Pokrovsky in the direction of the fighting in the areas of Lucha, Krutoy Yar and Selidovoy. Nine attacks were repulsed, two clashes are ongoing. The troops hold their positions.
Previous losses of the enemy are 155 killed and wounded. A tank, a mortar, two motorcycles and a unit of auto equipment were destroyed, as well as an armored personnel carrier and two mortars were damaged.
On Kurakhivskyi direction, 46 attacks by occupiers were recorded, especially active enemies near Tsukuryny, Novoselidivka, Hirnyk, Georgiyivka, and Vodiany. 26 assaults were repelled, the fighting continues.
On Vremivskyi direction, three attacks were repulsed near Bogoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, and Zolotaya Niva.
On Orihivskyi direction, the enemy tried to attack in the area of Mala Tokmachka, but the attack was repulsed.
On Prydniprovskyi direction, six enemy assaults on Ukrainian positions were repelled.
