We will remind, on September 22 President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to send Ukrainian troops to study in Turkey and the United Kingdom. The corresponding bill was published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
As stated in the explanatory note that the security situation in Ukraine requires the departure of the military to study to other countries. However, it is impossible to do this by sea, since Turkey, according to the Montre Convention, does not open the Bosphorus and Dardanella straits for the warring parties. But the adoption of the law will allow to ensure the implementation of measures related to the national security and defense of Ukraine.
The law proposal is proposed to approve sending to:
- Turkey – Hetman Ivan Mazepa Corvette as part of a regular crew up to 106 military;
- The United Kingdom – Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Mariupol, Melitopol and Genichesk (Crew – 39 Military Each), as well as 20 military administrations of 1 division of the Navy Fleet of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Corvette “Hetman Ivan Mazepa” ADA project, which is being built for the Naval Forces of Ukraine at the Turkish Shipyard RMK Marine, passed the first running tests.
