Another 14 officials and contractors from Zaporizhzhya region received suspicions of abuse with budget funds worth about 9 million hryvnias, the National Police of Ukraine reports.
Among the suspects is the mayor of one of the cities, the chairman of the united territorial communities and the settlement council, the head of the hospital, employees of local self -government bodies and representatives of several contractors.
In particular, the mayor of the city is suspected of appropriation of 16 thousand liters of fuel and lubricants allocated from the regional reserve to eliminate the consequences related to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
The director of the hospital and the deputy of the city council, according to the investigation, paid surcharges and allowances to employees for the performance of duties in the period of intense shelling, although the territory of the settlement was not officially recognized as a zone of active hostilities.
The issue of election of all suspected preventive measures is currently being resolved.
