The circulation of the coin in a souvenir package will be up to 75,000 pieces, and its sale in the NBU online store and distributor banks will begin in February 2026. The issue of the coin symbolizes the national defense power and the ability of Ukraine to create innovative solutions for strikes on strategic objects in the deep rear of Russia.
The design of the coin reflects the combat use of the new weapon: the obverse depicts the silhouette of “Palyanytsia” striking an enemy snake, and the reverse depicts a drone missile attack on the object of the fuel and energy complex of the aggressor country. According to the NBU, this weapon system is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 650 km, overcoming anti-aircraft defenses thanks to a speed of up to 900 km/h and the ability to fly at ultra-low altitudes from 15 to 500 meters.
“Palyanytsia” became the first sample of Ukrainian long-range weapons of this type, which allows the Armed Forces of Ukraine to effectively counter threats from Russia. The regulator emphasized that the coin is a tribute to the developers of Ukrainian defense technologies, whose ingenuity helps to transfer the war to the territory of Russia. The new coin will complete the series of numismatic products dedicated to the heroism and technological progress of Ukraine in the struggle for freedom.
