The National Bank of Ukraine introduced a commemorative coin dedicated to the Magura unmanned aerial vehicle.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has more than once surprised the world with its skill in destroying the enemy, which prevails with its military power. Our soldiers are helped in this by the modern developments of Ukrainian gunsmiths, which give them the opportunity to implement the most daring operations,” the National Bank noted.
The bank dedicated a new commemorative coin to one of these innovative developments – “Ukrainian cotton. Unmanned aerial vehicle Magura”.
With the help of these unmanned boats, the Ukrainian military not only destroyed a number of Russian ships, but also, for the first time in history, hit aerial targets from an unmanned sea-based platform: Mi-8 helicopters and Su-30 fighter jets.
The new commemorative coin perpetuates the engineering skill of Ukrainian weapons developers and the combat prowess of the soldiers who turned naval drones into one of the most effective types of weapons in this war.
The coin has a face value of 5 hryvnias.
Its reverse features a stylized Magura surface drone slicing through sea waves. Above is the scene of the destruction of the Russian Su-30 fighter jet, which confirms the effective countermeasures against the enemy at sea and in the air.
Also on the coin is the emblem of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the only special unit of which Groop 13 used these surface drones in combat conditions during military operations.
On the obverse of the coin, on a matte background, there is a stylized image of Magura – the Proto-Slavic goddess of war, victory and eternal life, the patroness of the army, in whose honor the unmanned boat Magura is named.
The circulation is up to 75 thousand pieces in a souvenir package.

The commemorative coin “Ukrainian cotton. Unmanned aerial vehicle Magura” was put into circulation on December 12.
Its implementation in the online store of numismatic products of the National Bank will begin on December 16.
