Ukrainian law enforcement officers found out that more than a year ago, the person involved began to receive a task from Russian special services and reported the enemy about their implementation. Initially, the man passed on to the Russians the location of the defense forces, and also tried to establish the time and direction of trains with fuel.
“After checking the agent’s readiness to accomplish a more difficult” task, the Russian special service instructed him to kill Andrei Parubiy and financed the preparation for this crime. In order to fulfill the order of the aggressor state, the attacker monitored the schedule of the day and routes of movement of the People’s Deputy, ”the SBU said.
The killer was preparing a plan of his escape after the murder, but law enforcement officers did not give the likely killer to escape and detained him in Khmelnytskyi.
He was now informed of the suspicion of the State Exc. The attacker is currently in custody. He is threatened with a lifelong term with confiscation of property.
Earlier, the murder of Parubiy was qualified under Art. 112 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (encroachment on the life of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, committed in connection with his state activity).
