The question of creating the “Pentagon of State Registers” refers to two trends – law-making and the actual use of means that will ensure cyber protection.
First Deputy Minister of Justice Mykola Kucheryavenko said this on TV, answering a question about what “Pentagon of State Registers” means and when it will become operational, the correspondent of “Ukrinform” reports.
“Here we are talking about the combination of two trends and processes: the first is law-making, the second is the real application of those means that will provide us with cyber protection. We are talking about draft law 11290, which was developed, first of all, by the State Special Communications Committee, based on the analysis of information on more than 4,000 cyber incidents. Based on this, they formed this systemic vision, the formation of fuses,” he said.
According to the first deputy minister of justice, one of these new safeguards is the introduction of a cyber security specialist in the staff of critical infrastructure enterprises, who will do everything to prevent any destructive consequences of going there.
“A similar draft law has already passed the first reading, but it is still on the way to be adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, and we, in accordance with the legislative norm that will be born, have already built this system. But it will definitely happen,” Kucheryavenko added.
We would like to remind you that due to the malfunction of some state registers, the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are forced to suspend the provision of separate registration services for vehicles related to the change of ownership.
The largest cyber attack on the state registers of Ukraine was being prepared for several months, but the Security Service of Ukraine said that they could not disclose the details of its preparation.
