The Ministry of Justice is working to secure data important to the functioning of the state from a repeat of the December Russian cyber attack that destroyed state registries.
Minister of Justice Olga Stefanishyna told about this in an interview with “Ukrinform”.
“We provide recovery at sites that have a proper mechanism to protect relevant data from possible attacks. Also, a plan to create a kind of “Pentagon” for state registers has already been developed, which we expect will be quickly implemented. The corresponding team is already working on the launch of this initiative,” Stefanishyna said.
According to her, the goal of the aggressor country during the cyber attack was primarily to undermine the functionality of the state.
“This goal was not achieved, for which I personally thank the specialists of the Ministry of Justice. However, cyber warfare is being waged 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As long as the full-scale war with the Russian Federation continues, the cyber war will also continue,” Stefanishyna said.
We will remind you that in December, Ukraine suffered the largest cyberattack on state registers in recent times. The enemy had been preparing the attack for several months.
We also reported that the process of booking employees has already been resumed in Diya. The service was suspended due to a massive cyber attack.
