He stressed that over 206,000 people became ill in the past week, including 60%. There are 5.4 thousand patients with complications in hospitals.
The epidemic threshold has been exceeded in 16 regions. The most difficult situation is in the Khmelnytsky region. The significant excess is recorded in Volyn, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Ternopil, Cherkasy and Chernivtsi regions.
“The situation is currently controlled, but we must be ready for any scenario. He instructed the heads of regional health care and disease centers to check the supply of hospitals with the necessary medicines, to conduct additional audit of beds for hospitalization and resuscitation, to continue his daily epidmonitoring, ”the minister said.
As of early February in Ukraine, 5 regions found a slight excess of the epidemic threshold due to the increase in incidence of SARS, influenza and Covid-19.
More than 30 cases of human metapneumovirus (HMPV) have been detected in Kazakhstan. The virus causes symptoms similar to Covid-19 and flu, affecting the lungs.
