With a high level of dust in the air, you should stay at home, and use masks outside.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Health published relevant recommendations in connection with the high level of air pollution in a number of regions on Facebook.

To reduce exposure to polluted air, the Ministry of Health advises not to go outside without an urgent need, to turn off ventilation systems that take air from the street.

Windows and doors should be closed, openings should be sealed with improvised means – scotch tape, a damp cloth.

Also, the Ministry of Health advises to carry out wet cleaning of premises both at home and at workplaces, to install containers with water to humidify the air in the room.

A protective mask or respirator should be used on the street; if they are not available, cover the nose and mouth with a wet cloth.

In addition, it is necessary to take a shower several times a day and drink a lot of water – at the rate of 2-3 liters per adult.

The Ministry of Health also urged to use only verified sources of information, in particular, to follow updates on the official pages of the regional Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

We will remind that at the end of September in the Kyiv region, in the Brovar district, near the village of Bohdanivka, a grass floor caught fire. The fire broke out on an area of 21 hectares.

The reason for the smoky air in Kyiv on September 23 was called fires in a number of regions of the country in combination with a change in the direction of the wind. If there are no fires, the smoke will recede from the capital in the coming days.

On September 20, a significant deterioration of the air condition was recorded in the Ukrainian capital.

Initially, Kyiv was in second place in the world ranking of air pollution with an index of 162 AQI, but later moved even to the first position.
