The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to information on the approval of the first batch of weapons for Ukraine under the new NATO Purl mechanism.

He stressed that the decisions are welcome, but official information is still expected.

“With regard to specific terms or confirmation of the receipt of these packages, it is worth asking our military who follow the process. Logistically, all mechanisms are trimmed, so I do not think there will be any obstacles. The fact that this mechanism began to work is an extremely positive signal, ”the spokesman said.

Prior to that, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that with the help of PURL defense support, Ukraine raised $ 1.5 billion. They will be spent on the purchase of weapons.

Luxembourg Prime Minister Luke Frieden said that the country would join Purl (NATO Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) – the purchase of NATO’s weapons in the United States to transfer Ukraine.
