Ukraine’s energy infrastructure was subjected to a large-scale ballistic attack by Russian terrorist forces. The power supply system was partially stabilized, but hourly outage schedules were introduced.
She informed about it Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk on the air of the telethon.
“Tonight was one of the most difficult in the entire time of the full-scale war. The enemy inflicted a massive blow precisely with ballistic missiles, which are extremely difficult to shoot down. It is difficult to remember such a number of direct hits on energy facilities since the beginning of the invasion,” the Minister emphasized.
She noted that due to significant damage, the operator of the transmission system was forced to apply emergency and special shutdown schedules in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. In the future, it was possible to partially stabilize the operation of the system and transfer the regions to schedules of hourly outages.
“In the affected regions – in Kharkiv region, Poltava region and Kyiv region – together with deputies and representatives of authorities, we are coordinating work on the deployment of alternative power sources and small modular boiler houses,” Grynchuk noted.
We will remind you that there will be a significant blackout in Ukraine on Sunday, November 9 will increase . Volumes and durations will increase, and schedules will operate in most regions. In addition, on November 8, they are applied until the end of the day.
In the evening of November 8, as a result of attacks by Russian terrorists, two thermal power plants of the state-owned company “Centrenergo” stopped their work – Zmiivska TPP in Kharkiv Oblast and Trypilska TPP in Kyiv Oblast.
Currently, emergency power outages that were triggered by the night shelling of Ukraine by Russian terrorist forces have been canceled in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
