“It is not a matter of any new debt or transformation of pre-assistance into debt. There is no logic of “debt” either in the US proposals or in the proposals of Ukraine. It is about how much the US and Ukraine wants to earn from investment, ”Kachka said.
According to him, the number of “debt” appeared in the negotiations only once – in that version of the text of the agreement to be released in the media. “From that time, there were no attempts to formulate numbers, because everyone understands that it is not a debt, but is a mutually beneficial cooperation,” the Deputy Minister said.
Duck also reported that the Ukrainian side had proposals for military assistance, which the US reaction is now expected.
It should be reminded that on April 24, a new stage of negotiations between Ukraine and the United States on the subsoil agreement will start in the United States.
On April 17, Ukraine and the US signed a memorandum that captures the intention to finalize the agreement favorable for both parties. The Ministry of Economy has published the text of the document that defines the basic principles of future cooperation.
