There they say that they checked the supply of products to the military units of the Armed Forces and found cases when suppliers delivered frozen chicken with an “excessive share of moisture.”
In response to this, the Ministry of Defense established requirements for the mass fraction of moisture that remains after defrosting poultry meat, as well as the mass fraction of glaze in frozen fish.
The ministry also banned the supply of dairy and sour-milk products made from non-cow’s or sheep’s milk to the Armed Forces.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reacted to the scandal with inedible canned food in the Armed Forces. The state operator of the rear said that it is not responsible for the quality of canned goods supplied to the Armed Forces, because this is handled by the State Production and Consumer Service.
The suppliers of the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defense “State Operator of the Rear” launched the shipment of winter supplies to the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They have to hand over products for the total amount of UAH 2.6 billion.
Also, the State operator of the rear (procurement organization of the Ministry of Defense) presented a new model of food supply for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a pilot project, it will be operational in several regions of Ukraine as early as 2025.
