“Since the beginning of the year, the Ministry of Defense has set more than 1 million FPV-pates for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Shmigal said.

In order for drones to come to the front faster and in the right amount, the Ministry of Defense is introducing new approaches, the minister said. In particular, these are framework agreements based on tactical and technical characteristics.

“We contract manufacturers not on the specific names of products, but in compliance with their drones for the requirements of TTH,” said Shmigal.

This allows you to attract a wide range of manufacturers to purchases, ensure competition between them and transparency by trading in Prozorro. Dot -chain Defense was also the innovation of this year.

“Digital marketplaces where the units themselves choose the necessary drones. This approach provides targeted and rapid delivery of drones to the front. The platform is already operating in the pilot mode for 12 combat crews, ”Shmigal said.

He added that the priority of Ukraine is to develop the most effective mechanisms for providing warriors on the advanced drone.

“According to the assignments set, the defense procurement agency is working to ensure that the pace of supply is growing, and each unit receives exactly what is needed for combat missions,” the minister summed up.

Earlier, Ukraine and Denmark have agreed on the joint production of UAV of three types: drones used on the front, drones-interceptors and long-range drones.

The American-German company Auterion will supply 33 thousand “shock kits” with artificial intelligence for drones by the end of the year.
