Ukrainian-made impulse metal detector “Khortych-1” was allowed to be used in the defense forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian-made metal detector weighs a little more than a kilogram and can detect explosive devices at a depth of more than half a meter with an error of 5 cm in the location of the center of the object.
It works at temperatures from -20C to +40C and humidity up to 95%, has light and sound mine detection indicators, and a full charge of a powerful lithium-ion battery ensures the operation of the metal detector for 6 hours.
“In the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a pulse metal detector of Ukrainian production was codified and allowed to be supplied to the troops. The device created by Ukrainian engineers for searching for mines and other explosive objects was called “Khortych-1″”. – said the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The universal metal detector was manufactured at a domestic enterprise, which developed and produced similar devices for use in the domestic and industrial spheres – for detector research of soils and other surfaces for the presence of electric and gas networks, conducting geodetic works, performing other works in the field of national economy to detect metal objects objects, etc.
After the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the manufacturing company on a volunteer basis handed over all available metal detectors for use by the troops.
The company’s engineers constantly received feedback on the practical use of their products by the military and formed key criteria for the development of a universal army metal detector.
The device had to be light, reliable in use, inexpensive, easy to operate and repairable in the field.
