As the mayor of Brovary, Ihor Sapozhko, announced, no shutdowns of the central water supply are planned for September 19 in the Brovary community due to the pollution of the Desna River. The state of drinking water in the community is under the constant control of specialists.
“Today, information appeared on social networks about the alleged planned disconnection of centralized water supply in our community tomorrow. I am responsible to report – this is completely untrue. The state of drinking water is under the constant control of experts, relevant laboratory tests are carried out twice a day, their results are published on the pages of KP “Brovaryteplovodoenergia”, Sapozhko wrote.
The mayor added that it is really necessary to have and constantly renew the supply of drinking water. But this is due to the fact that enemy attacks are aimed at critical infrastructure facilities.
The mayor of Brovary emphasized that the situation is under control, water supply in the community is carried out as usual.
Brovaryteplovodoenergia KP adds that the water quality at their water intake point on the Desna River is within normal limits. Moreover, an improvement in chemical oxygen consumption is recorded. It is also noted that the pollution moving along the Desna River is less concentrated than it was at the beginning in the Seim River, and its dilution is observed.
Sapozhko reported that the water supplied to the residents of the Brovary community meets all regulatory standards. KP “Brovaryteplovodoenergia” conducts daily monitoring laboratory studies of the state of water in the city water supply.
As of September 15, the spot of pollution in the Desna River reached the Kyiv region, it was noticed between the villages of Litki and Rozhny, Brovar district.
