The story of Oleksandr Lemenov, a figure who was previously associated with anti-corruption rhetoric and reforms of the prosecutor’s office, appeared again in the Ukrainian information space. According to reports from open sources, we are talking about a criminal proceeding, the proceedings of which were stopped in April 2025 due to the presence of the accused at the front.

According to the authors of the publications, the essence of the case is related to mobilization issues: it is claimed that after the start of the full-scale invasion, Lemenov did not appear at the relevant territorial recruitment centers for a long time. Separate episodes, which were widely discussed in the media, are described as incidents during the delivery of a summons and subsequent avoidance of contact with representatives of the RTCC.
It is also reported that in December 2024, Lemenov was detained during a document check at a recreation facility in Kyiv, after which administrative materials were allegedly drawn up and taken to the RTCC. According to the same sources, he was later referred to an educational center, but the situation took a further turn within the framework of the criminal proceedings, and his name appeared in the relevant registers.
Later, as it is claimed, Lemenov was enrolled in territorial defense units, and later transferred to other positions, which became the reason for stopping the trial. At the same time, the authors of the material draw attention to the fact that the current status and place of service of the person involved raise public questions, which will probably still be evaluated in the legal field.
