This was stated by the head of the mission Gavin Gray, the NBU press service reports.
According to the press service, Gray stated that, based on the successful practice of passing the sixth view of the program, the IMF hopes for effective decisions and successful results of the seventh revision.
In addition, the NBU Chairman Andriy Pyshny, during a meeting with representatives of the mission, howled that Ukraine’s joint work with the IMF became a useful asset and asset not only for Ukraine but also for the Fund.
“This is an example of how, in high uncertainty, you can be effective,” he said.
The NBU press service reported that representatives of the IMF and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine discussed with the IMF team fulfilling the conditions of the EFF program and the degree of readiness for the seventh review, as well as the goals and expected results of the mission. In case of successful seventh viewing, Ukraine will receive another tranche of about $ 918 million.
The traditional constituent meeting was attended by the NBU Chairman and Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko with his teams, as well as the head of the mission Gavin Gray, his deputy Trevor Lesard, the permanent representative of the IMF in Ukraine tophano, Deputy IMF Executive Director Vladislav Rashkovan.
The Ukrainian side assured the Fund’s representatives that he does everything to successfully implement the EFF program, because its continuation is one of the basic conditions for maintaining sustainable external funding.
We will remind that on February 20 in Ukraine the mission of the International Monetary Fund began work. Discussion with the representatives of the Ukrainian authorities of the seventh revision of the Extended Financing Program (EFF) will continue.
At the end of December 2024, the State Budget of Ukraine received the seventh tranche of about $ 1.1 billion from the IMF under the four -year program of the expanded financing mechanism (EFF). In total, Ukraine received $ 9.8 billion from the IMF.
For 2025, under the IMF EFF Ukraine, Ukraine has to get up to $ 2.7 billion as a result of four views.
