The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Burbok, during her visit to Kyiv, assured of continued support for Ukraine regardless of the results of the presidential elections in the USA.
She said this at a press conference with her Ukrainian colleague Andrii Sybiga on November 4 in Kyiv.
“I know how terrible some of the debates in Germany sound to your ears, in which the aggressor and you, the victims, are confused. Sometimes on purpose. In which some of my compatriots see doubts about German support for peace and freedom in Ukraine,” Berbok said.
The minister added that she would like to make a clear statement while in Kyiv, “especially on the eve of the US elections: we, the German government, as the largest country in Europe, are aware of our responsibility. You are not alone. You have strong friends and partners all over the world.”
“We will firmly stand by you as long as you need us,” Burbok emphasized.
